"Wash Your Hands" seminars are a five day process. All seminars are held at Genie-TEREX Industries in Redmond, Washington, USA.

Day 1
The seminar participants spend their time in a classroom setting, listening to lectures given by Genie Industries and John Black and Associates LLC consultants on the powerful tools of Kaizen.Days 2 through 4
Participants conduct hands-on shopfloor exercises at Genie Industries located in Redmond, Washington. Participants are divided up into several teams consulted by a Japanese sensei with each team carrying out Kaizen to achieve aggressive targets in five days.Day 5
The last day of the seminar, team members make presentations on the results of their Kaizen work before the rest of the seminar participants.The presentations follow a certain documentation format and include a discussion of the Kaizen ideas the team designed and implemented on the shopfloor. The presentation of each team is followed by comments by the assigned consultant and the Genie plant manager responsible for the line that the team Kaizened. After the presentation meeting is over, a reception is held where the seminar participants can exchange views and opinions on their experiences.
